- Experience
- 8+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering; 2+ years leading engineers.
About the job
Lead and build the Windows sandbox runtime: isolated, on-demand Windows VMs for AI agents that use desktop software.
What you'll do
- Own the Windows sandbox architecture and delivery, including VM performance, snapshots, image pipelines, provisioning, and display and input streaming.
- Own licensing-compliant architecture, reliability, sandbox cost, and Windows host density.
- Build alongside the team, hire and lead a two-engineer pod, and partner with the PM on roadmap and enterprise commitments.
What they ask for
- 8+ years in systems or infrastructure engineering and 2+ years leading engineers.
- Deep experience running Windows at scale in non-Microsoft-stack environments, including Windows guests on KVM/QEMU, virtio drivers, and image automation.
- Strong Windows internals knowledge, including boot process, services, registry, WinRM/PowerShell automation, and unattended provisioning.
- Systems programming skills in Go, Rust, C/C++, or serious PowerShell/C# plus one of these; pragmatism about Windows licensing constraints.
Nice to have
- Experience with VDI, cloud PC products, Windows 365 / AVD-class systems, or game streaming.
- GPU-accelerated Windows guests, remote display protocols, or computer-use / desktop automation agents.
