Medical Director, Musculoskeletal (MSK) Programs

What you'll do

• Design condition-specific care pathways and oversee triage, escalation, pain management, and peri-operative care.
• Build and supervise AI-enabled clinical workflows with product and engineering; deliver care to a shared patient panel.
• Hire and lead clinicians, and measure and improve clinical outcomes, appropriate referrals, opioid stewardship, and member experience.

What they ask for

• Board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Sports Medicine, Rheumatology, Orthopedic Surgery, or Internal Medicine / Family Medicine with substantial MSK practice.
• Significant clinical experience managing common adult MSK conditions, including in older adults with multimorbidity.
• Demonstrated experience building or substantially redesigning a clinical program, pathway, or service line.
• Experience serving diverse patient populations; commitment to measuring and improving quality across a population.

Nice to have

• 5+ year of experience delivering MSK care in a sports medicine, PM&R, or orthopedics practice.
• Experience supervising clinicians, building clinical software or AI-enabled workflows, virtual or hybrid care, Medicare Advantage, value-based care, peri-operative optimization, post-acute recovery, or falls and fracture prevention.

Pay

$280,000 - $305,000 USD per year (base salary)

AI focus

Build an agentic clinical interface by encoding clinical reasoning into AI workflows, specifying system behavior and escalation, reviewing prompts and transcripts, and improving the system using care outcomes and feedback.
