Owns the interface between robot electronics and software by bringing up boards and developing firmware, drivers, and reliable communication across sensors, actuators, and compute modules.
What you'll do
- Bring up, validate, and debug PCBs and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, and software issues.
- Develop MCU firmware and embedded Linux drivers and communication stacks for sensors, cameras, actuators, and networks.
- Tune and test robot networks and subsystems, support manufacturing and field troubleshooting, and document procedures.
What they ask for
- 3+ years of professional embedded systems experience in robotics, automotive, industrial automation, or complex consumer electronics.
- Strong C and C++ skills and working knowledge of Python.
- Hands-on board bring-up experience, including reading schematics, PCB layouts, datasheets, and timing diagrams.
- Driver-level experience with several listed communication protocols; MCU firmware experience on bare-metal or RTOS; and comfort with embedded debugging tools.
Nice to have
- Experience with GMSL or other high-speed camera links, MIPI CSI-2, and V4L2; or embedded Linux kernel and device-driver development.
- Experience with EtherCAT stacks, PCB design tools, signal integrity, motor-control, ROS 2, or AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
Pay
USD $100K – $300K base salary
