About the job

Designs, validates, and brings into production the electrical subsystems for general-purpose robot platforms, including power electronics, motor drives, sensor integration, and PCBs.

What you'll do

  • Own electrical subsystem design from schematic and PCB layout through bring-up, validation, and production release.
  • Design and verify power electronics, motor drives, and sensor integration circuits; apply EMI/EMC principles and support certification.
  • Drive manufacturability, board-level verification, and documentation while collaborating with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

What they ask for

  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in robotics, industrial automation, automotive, or consumer electronics, with at least one product shipped to production.
  • Hands-on design of complex multilayer PCBs (8+ layers), including high-speed digital, power, mixed-signal, controlled-impedance, and differential-pair routing.
  • Experience designing power electronics and motor drives, such as BMS, DC-DC conversion, BLDC, PMSM, or servo circuits.
  • Strong hardware bench skills and experience with DFM/DFA and contract manufacturers.

Nice to have

  • Product certification or EMC pre-compliance experience; functional safety experience.
  • Embedded firmware familiarity, high-density or thermally constrained PCB design, production test experience, Python or similar scripting, or AI-assisted EDA or coding tools.

Pay

$100K – $300K (currency not stated; compensation type not stated)

Tools
