What you'll do

  • Develop and validate firmware across the lifecycle, including board bring-up, drivers, real-time control, diagnostics, and updates.
  • Build motor-control and communication firmware, with safety, reliability, testing, and field-debugging capabilities.
  • Support manufacturing and deployment, and establish firmware architecture, standards, and release practices.

What they ask for

  • 5+ years of embedded firmware development in robotics, automotive, industrial automation, or complex consumer electronics, including shipping production-deployed products.
  • Strong C and C++ skills in bare-metal and RTOS environments, plus deep embedded-systems fundamentals.
  • Hands-on motor-control or actuator firmware experience and driver-level experience with embedded communication protocols.
  • Experience with multiple MCU families, board bring-up, hardware-boundary debugging, and embedded laboratory tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling firmware to hundreds or thousands of deployed units, or developing bootloaders and secure update systems.
  • Python experience, functional safety or embedded security standards familiarity, or hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex.

Pay

$100K – $300K (base salary)
