About the job
Owns the production localization, mapping, and navigation stack for humanoid robots, deploying and validating 3D SLAM and real-time navigation on hardware.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy 3D SLAM, localization, state estimation, and real-time navigation systems using data from multiple sensors.
- Build calibration, evaluation, and regression tools; diagnose field failures and improve system reliability.
- Integrate navigation with perception, controls, and hardware teams, while mentoring engineers and contributing to technical planning.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of industry experience in robotics autonomy focused on SLAM, localization, or state estimation.
- Track record deploying navigation or SLAM on real autonomous platforms, not only in simulation or research prototypes.
- Strong probabilistic robotics expertise and hands-on experience with 3D SLAM modalities.
- Proficiency in C++ (C++14/17 or newer), optimization libraries such as GTSAM, Ceres Solver, or g2o, and familiarity with ROS/ROS 2.
Nice to have
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with learning-based localization and mapping, semantic SLAM, CUDA, GNSS/RTK, fleet map management, or open-source SLAM/navigation frameworks.
