About the job
Defines technical direction and builds Elasticsearch’s core search infrastructure, including indexing, retrieval, query execution, and relevance capabilities.
What you'll do
- Lead and contribute to the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities, researching infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms.
- Set long-term technical vision and roadmap for search, collaborating across teams and with partners and product teams.
- Serve as an expert in Elasticsearch domains and mentor experienced engineers.

- Strong core Java skills, familiarity with advanced data structures, concurrency constructs, and newer language features such as lambdas; excellent communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience building with Elasticsearch and knowledge of search and information retrieval theory.
- Experience with open source projects, source control workflows, and continuous integration.
Pay
369 400 zł — 584 300 zł PLN (base salary)
