Advise ElevenLabs on global privacy, data protection, and AI governance, supporting product development, operations, and commercial transactions.
What you'll do
- Advise on privacy laws and risks involving AI, biometrics, voice technologies, and sensitive data; translate regulatory developments into practical business guidance.
- Partner with Product and Engineering on privacy-by-design and conduct privacy risk assessments, including DPIAs.
- Support data protection terms in commercial agreements and help maintain privacy governance; assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, and incidents.
What they ask for
- JD and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience focused on privacy compliance and data governance.
- Experience advising AI, technology, or SaaS companies on global privacy compliance and data governance.
- Experience advising on U.S. biometric privacy laws and on HIPAA, healthcare privacy, PHI, and BAAs, particularly for technology or SaaS products.
Nice to have
- New York state bar membership preferred.
- Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks; experience with AI, data use, or emerging-technology regulatory frameworks is a strong plus.
