Own portions of the monthly revenue close and support ASC 606 accounting, audit readiness, and scalable revenue processes across a business with enterprise, subscription, and usage-based revenue.
What you'll do
- Prepare close entries, schedules, reconciliations, and flux analysis; investigate usage and billing discrepancies.
- Review customer contracts and document revenue accounting for standard arrangements, escalating novel or high-judgment matters.
- Support audits, controls, new-product accounting readiness, and automation of recurring revenue processes.
What they ask for
- Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal-versus-agent analysis.
- Experience leading revenue close activities, including deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, journal entries, and month-end flux analysis.
- Track record partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments.
- Pre-IPO or public-company experience with external audits, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation; active CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification.
