About the job

Own the thermal design, validation, commissioning, and customer-site deployment of Etched’s liquid-cooled L11 rack system, including its integration with datacenter facilities.

What you'll do

  • Design and validate rack-level liquid loops, manifolds, cooling controls, and facility interfaces; characterize thermal and hydraulic performance.
  • Develop deployment and commissioning processes, and test and qualify reference CDU systems in lab and field settings.
  • Support customers and go-to-market teams on facility integration, and investigate thermal or fluid issues in lab and deployed systems.

What they ask for

  • 5–10 years of thermal or mechanical engineering experience with hands-on CDU and datacenter liquid-cooling experience.
  • Experience installing, commissioning, or validating liquid-cooling systems at datacenter scale.
  • Experience with CDU validation and commissioning, including flow, pressure, temperature, and controls testing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Rack-scale direct-to-chip liquid-cooling deployment for AI or HPC systems; familiarity with OCP or ASHRAE TC 9.9.
  • Experience with Flownex or MacroFlow, or knowledge of coolant chemistry, filtration, leak detection, and fluid integrity testing.

Pay

$200,000 - $350,000 USD (base salary); $200K – $250K USD (compensation; pay type not specified)

Tools

CDU, OCP, ASHRAE TC 9.9, Flownex, MacroFlow

AI focus
