About the job

Own manufacturing processes for precision, high-vacuum semiconductor hardware, from design-for-manufacturing and first builds through repeatable production and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

  • Partner with design engineers to improve manufacturability, assembly, cost, cycle time, and complexity while preserving design intent.
  • Lead NPI and first builds; develop processes, fixtures, jigs, tooling, documentation, and acceptance criteria.
  • Investigate build and quality problems, implement corrective actions, and improve production processes throughout the product lifecycle.

What they ask for

  • 3+ years in manufacturing, process, or NPI engineering for complex mechanical or electromechanical hardware; strong recent graduates with exceptional hands-on ability will be considered.
  • Strong command of GD&T and broad working knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, and finishing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a manufacturing or assembly process from a drawing/CAD model through first build to repeatable production; experience designing fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
  • Proficiency in CAD; SolidWorks preferred, and comfort working directly with design engineers and production-floor teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vacuum systems, precision-motion systems, tight-tolerance assemblies, cleanroom assembly, or automation.
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment or other complex electromechanical industries; hands-on machining, welding, or building; ERP/MES or structured NPI familiarity.

Tools

GD&T, CNC machining, sheet metal, welding, SolidWorks, ERP/MES, PPAP/FAI, PFMEA
