About the job

Develop and deploy reliable whole-body manipulation autonomy for humanoids and arm-equipped quadrupeds, validating behaviors on real robots in field conditions.

What you'll do

  • Develop whole-body control and manipulation behaviors, integrating learning-based and model-based policies with perception and locomotion.
  • Train or adapt manipulation policies, including vision language action models, and deploy them on physical robots.
  • Build simulation and evaluation pipelines, then test and harden behaviors through lab and field validation.

What they ask for

  • Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; PhD strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in robot manipulation or whole-body control, with hands-on experience using robot arms, hands or grippers, and humanoid or mobile manipulation platforms.
  • Experience with manipulation planning and control, learning-based manipulation, and integrating perception.
  • Strong Python and/or C++ skills in Linux-based development environments.

Nice to have

  • 2+ years developing and deploying manipulation behaviors on real robotic systems (stated as preferred); 3+ years in an industry or startup robotics setting.
  • Experience with loco-manipulation or whole-body MPC, VLA models, demonstration pipelines, dexterous hands or tactile sensing, deployment optimization, or sim-to-real debugging.

Pay

USD 100,000–200,000 (per-year-salary), base salary
