About the job

Own and develop perception systems for field robots, integrating sensors and deploying robust localization and mapping capabilities on real-world platforms.

What you'll do

  • Design, test, and improve perception, localization, and mapping systems for unstructured field conditions.
  • Fuse sensor data and integrate perception software across simulation and physical robots, debugging issues found during testing and field operations.
  • Improve system robustness through testing, performance metrics, maintainable code, and collaboration across teams.

What they ask for

  • Strong background in robot perception, localization, and mapping (SLAM) for real-world robotic systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying perception software in field robotics environments, not just simulation.
  • Proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS/ROS2 based systems; experience with state estimation such as VIO, LIO, mapping, or sensor fusion.
  • Ability to own complex subsystems through deployment and maintenance, and to work close to hardware on sensor debugging and calibration.

Nice to have

  • Experience with thermal, LWIR, or multispectral sensing, or custom sensor rigs.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, performance regression testing, Docker, Kubernetes, or multi-platform perception stacks.

Pay

USD 100,000–200,000 (per-year-salary), base pay
