What you'll do

  • Lead and review static, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, fracture, and damage-tolerance analyses using finite element methods and hand calculations.
  • Define analysis methods and material allowables, validate models against test data, and develop qualification test requirements.
  • Guide and mentor analysts and collaborate across engineering teams to deliver robust, weight-efficient hardware.

What they ask for

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in structural/stress analysis and qualification of aerospace or comparable high-performance hardware.
  • Proficiency with Ansys and/or Nastran and classical hand analysis, including model validation and verification.
  • Experience with fatigue, fracture mechanics, damage tolerance, thermal/thermo-mechanical stress analysis, and pressurized components.

Nice to have

  • M.S. or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related engineering field.
