Builds and tests aircraft and prototypes, owns shop process quality, and leads aircraft preparation and turnaround at field and flight test events.
What you'll do
- Build and integrate aircraft and complex assemblies; resolve build issues, document corrections, and improve work instructions.
- Set up and execute mechanical test campaigns, including instrumentation, data acquisition, documentation, and lab infrastructure.
- Lead aircraft preparation and maintenance at field and flight events, and mentor junior technicians.

- 5+ years of hands-on technician experience in aerospace, defense, motorsports, or a comparable hardware-intensive prototype or production environment.
- Experience reading engineering drawings, including GD&T callouts, wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly procedures, and independently building complex assemblies from kit to functional hardware.
- Wire harness fabrication; mechanical or structural test setup and execution with instrumentation and data acquisition; proficiency with precision measurement tools and calibrated torque equipment.
Nice to have
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate; military aviation maintenance background; composite fabrication and structural repair experience.
- Strain gauge and data acquisition experience; sUAS build or field operations; FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate; manual machining; CAD/PLM familiarity; mentoring experience.
Pay
USD 30.00 - 40.00 an hour (hourly base)
