Senior Staff Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Build and govern a reusable code library and agent rules for internal AI-enabled web apps; develop and productionize apps on that foundation.
• Advise engineering leadership on policies for secure AI-assisted app development and deployment; partner with business stakeholders and platform teams.
• Design, implement, test, review, and improve software, including scalable distributed systems; mentor developers and participate in on-call and hiring.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of software industry experience, including designing and developing reusable libraries and experimentation platforms for backend and frontend.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security; ability to lead software and infrastructure design independently.
• Experience programming in an object-oriented or systems language such as Java, C++, or C#; hands-on cloud and containerization experience.
• Experience with code reviews, design, troubleshooting, and testing; familiarity with continuous integration tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of observability tools such as New Relic/Grafana.
• Experience in data processing (ETL, ELT) and/or cloud-based platforms.

$232,338 — $290,422 USD (target new-hire compensation; base salary or total pay not specified)

AI focus
