What you'll do
- Define data contracts, point maps, interlocks, and operating sequences for facility and power plant controllers.
- Translate electrical and generation constraints into software requirements and vendor specifications; oversee factory and site acceptance.
- Validate constraints and mode transitions in simulation before energization and carry the work into automated commissioning.
What they ask for
- Experience with machine and system protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, and REST APIs, and choosing among them for specific needs.
- Ability to read and write code in at least one language to prototype integrations, test point maps, and review software.
- Ability to read one-line diagrams and panel schedules and assess protection, breakers, and sources under fault conditions.
- Experience designing and enforcing data contracts between systems and writing control narratives for systems with coordinating controllers.
Nice to have
