Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Integrate and maintain data from operational systems, documents, and other sources while preserving provenance, freshness, and source evidence.
• Build query and retrieval services that enforce user permissions and propagate access changes and deletions to downstream results.
• Set and operate data freshness, quality, and security guarantees, using operational needs and failures to improve the platform.

• Experience building and operating shared data systems that improve decisions or critical workflows.
• Experience making heterogeneous operational data coherent and extensible for other engineers.
• Experience building permissioned query or retrieval systems with source restrictions enforced in search and derived answers.
• Experience maintaining correctness as sources, permissions, and records change, including replaying or removing data.

Nice to have

• Data warehouse or lakehouse platforms, change data capture and streaming, authorization systems, search and document extraction.
• Experience with physical infrastructure, inventory, or supply chain data.

$224K – $279K USD base salary
