Generation Lead, Fuel-Based Generation

What you'll do

• Evaluate generation technologies and suppliers, define a standard interface for generation units, and size fuel-based capacity for each block.
• Write unit specifications and acceptance tests; oversee factory and site acceptance, installation, commissioning, and operational performance.
• Build and lead a team of rotating equipment engineers.

What they ask for

• 10+ years of experience in fuel-based power generation, including prime mover selection, equipment specification and acceptance testing, and operating distributed generation fleets.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating prime movers for a real project, writing and witnessing equipment acceptance procedures, and operating distributed generation fleets.
• Experience integrating fuel-based generation with inverter-based resources and commissioning generation through first fire and load testing.
• Comfort with regular travel; expect 25% or more, depending on business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with islanded or weak-grid operation with large load swings, alternative or blended fuels, or electrochemical generation such as solid oxide fuel cells.
• Experience with condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, emissions controls, and air permits.

Pay

$330K – $400K (base salary)
