About the job
Design and validate thermofluid systems and machine architectures for large-scale data center cooling, from cycle models and heat exchangers to fluid systems and test-stand performance.
What you'll do
- Own thermodynamic cycle models and define working-fluid conditions for compressor, turbine, and heat-exchanger design.
- Design heat exchangers and associated fluid systems, including piping, valves, relief, and isolation.
- Compare cycle predictions with test-stand measurements and use findings to inform design decisions.
What they ask for
- 10+ years of thermofluids engineering experience, including thermodynamic cycle modeling, heat exchanger design, and high-pressure fluid system design.
- Experience building thermodynamic cycle models from fluid properties and defending model assumptions.
- Experience sizing heat exchangers using published correlations and calibrating models against datasheets or test data.
- Comfort with regular travel; expect 25% or more, depending on business needs.
Nice to have
- Experience with vapor-compression or transcritical cycles, propulsion or cryogenic fluid systems, or high-pressure piping and relief design.
- Knowledge of real-gas properties, two-phase heat-transfer correlations, or data center thermal architecture.
