About the job
Builds production energy-control services for data centers, including facility load intent, third-party controller interfaces, constraint execution, and production observability.
What you'll do
- Own the facility energy-control contract, including its protocol layer, gateway service, and API.
- Design messaging and state systems that calculate facility load intent from telemetry and publish it with forecasts every second.
- Build constraint execution and observability systems to meet deadlines and monitor production conformance.
What they ask for
- Experience with high-throughput messaging systems at scale, such as NATS or Kafka.
- Experience designing time-series data models and understanding throughput, query, and schema-evolution tradeoffs.
- Experience instrumenting production services with observability tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
