About the job
Operate and troubleshoot electrical systems in live data centers, lead safe switching and incident response, and develop procedures and operator training as facilities scale.
What you'll do
- Operate and troubleshoot medium- and high-voltage distribution, generators, switchgear, UPS, and protection and control systems.
- Lead switching, lockout/tagout, energization, incident response, and root-cause analysis; maintain SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
- Monitor alarms through BMS and EPMS platforms and train junior operators.
What they ask for
- Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting 480V to 15kV+ electrical distribution in live hyperscale or large colocation data centers.
- Deep working experience with generators, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS systems, and BMS/EPMS platforms.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, arc flash boundaries, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Experience in shift-based or on-call critical facility operations.
Nice to have
- NETA certification, journeyman or master electrician license, or greenfield data center electrical commissioning experience.
