- Own ambiguous, high-stakes algorithmic problems end-to-end, from framing objectives through deployment and evaluation.
- Develop solutions using machine learning, optimization, heuristics, or other approaches; define metrics and validate performance.
- Review others’ work and establish quality standards and evaluation tools.
