Build, integrate, test, and maintain mechanical and electrical prototypes for autonomous vehicles in an onsite R&D environment.
What you'll do
- Build and modify prototype vehicles, test platforms, and benches; integrate mechanical and electrical components.
- Fabricate custom parts, build and troubleshoot wire harnesses, and diagnose integration issues.
- Execute test plans, collect performance data, collaborate with engineers on iterations, and maintain the prototyping shop.
What they ask for
- Hands-on experience building or customizing vehicles, motorcycles, robotic systems, drones, or RC vehicles.
- Ability to create custom mechanical or electrical assemblies and work with mechanical tools, electrical prototyping equipment, and basic fabrication tools.
- Ability to work from engineering drawings, sketches, or verbal guidance; ability to create parts in CAD.
- Understanding of vehicle systems and/or embedded electronics.
Nice to have
- Experience in an R&D lab, automotive/motorsports shop, or hardware prototyping environment; welding, machining/CNC, or composite fabrication skills.
- Exposure to autonomous systems, CAN/LIN protocols, diagnostic tools, or documentation platforms such as Confluence or Jira.
Pay
USD $80,000- $120,000 base salary
