Designs, builds, and operates Gemini’s internal engineering platform, creating self-service tools and infrastructure that improve developer velocity and production reliability.
What you'll do
- Build and operate platform services, APIs, CLIs, and automation for provisioning, deployment, and infrastructure management.
- Improve cloud, networking, compute, storage, CI/CD, observability, and reliability foundations used by engineering teams.
- Use SLOs and incident learnings to guide reliability decisions and reduce operational toil.
What they ask for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering, infrastructure engineering, SRE, or an equivalent combination of experience, including meaningful ownership of production systems.
- Strong software engineering ability in at least one language such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or similar.
- Production experience operating infrastructure and distributed systems, including cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and containers or orchestration.
- Experience with network security controls, CI/CD, observability, high availability, incident response, and secure-by-default systems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or comparable observability tooling.
