Fabricate high-precision carbon fiber composite components by preparing materials, operating winding and curing equipment, inspecting parts, and maintaining production records.
What you'll do
- Set up, operate, and monitor composite fabrication equipment, including winding equipment, to produce parts to engineering specifications.
- Prepare and handle carbon fiber materials; manage winding setups and curing processes as applicable.
- Inspect parts, document production and traceability, troubleshoot equipment, and report process or material issues.
What they ask for
- 2+ years of hands-on composite manufacturing experience, including precision winding, fiber placement, or related cutting/layup processes.
- Working knowledge of carbon fiber materials and proper handling and storage practices.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, work instructions, and process travelers; familiarity with precision measurement tools.
- Ability to maintain tight dimensional tolerances and accurate documentation; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and work required shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.
Nice to have
- Experience operating CNC-controlled composite equipment or working in regulated or high-reliability manufacturing.
- Composite fabrication or pressure-vessel winding experience; cross-training in bonding, adhesive application, or repair; composites or materials science certification; or MES/QMS experience.

$28–$55 per hour (base pay)
