About the job

Conduct applied research and develop, train, and evaluate machine-learning models for autonomous driving and embodied AI, then communicate findings to technical and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

  • Formulate research problems, build prototypes, and design experiments and evaluations for autonomous driving applications.
  • Train and benchmark models on large-scale datasets; analyze model behavior, failures, generalization, and performance tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with research and engineering teams and document or present findings.

What they ask for

  • Currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a master's degree in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of modern machine learning and deep learning methods.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or another machine-learning framework.
  • Demonstrated AI/ML research experience through coursework, academic projects, publications, or comparable work.

Nice to have

  • Experience with transformers, large language models, vision-language(-action) models, diffusion models, or other generative architectures.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, self-supervised learning, world models, multimodal learning, or temporal modeling.

Pay

$11,800 per month (base salary)

Tools

Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, C++

AI focus

Applied embodied-AI research for autonomous driving, including foundation models, vision-language-action models, generative and world models, learning for planning and control, and multimodal and temporal learning.
