About the job

Develops and validates simulation models of 12V/48V electrical components, subsystems, and vehicle architectures to support vehicle design, controls, and calibration.

What you'll do

  • Develop electrical and electro-thermal models, including physics-based models for co-simulation and software-in-the-loop use.
  • Run and interpret simulations, present results, and support program reviews, root-cause analysis, and comparison of analytical results with tests.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams to improve models, meet system requirements, and develop analysis capabilities.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Controls Engineering.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in design, analysis, or testing of 12V/48V electrical systems or components.
  • Proficiency in Synopsys Saber, MAST modeling language, MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape; experience developing SiL models and with FMUs and co-simulation.
  • Hands-on experience with 12V/48V sizing simulations and a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles; experience applying AI/ML methods.

Nice to have

  • M.S. or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
  • CAE/CAD experience, lithium-ion or other battery-cell modeling, DFSS Black Belt or higher, or GUI and technical-software development experience.

Tools

Synopsys Saber, MAST, MATLAB, Simulink, Simscape, FMUs
