Genesis-World: Core Simulation Engine Engineer
Bay Area · On-site · Full-time · Posted Aug 19, 2026
About the job
Build and maintain the software engineering backbone of Genesis-World, improving reliability, tooling, APIs, and usability for a general-purpose robotics simulation platform.
What you'll do
- Scale testing and make simulation bugs reproducible across machines and backends.
- Improve differentiable simulation and coordinate integration requirements with the Quadrants compiler team.
- Develop extensibility, scene authoring, actuation, serialization, and other core simulator capabilities; review contributions and support users.
What they ask for
- Strong Python engineering on large codebases, including architecture, refactoring, typing, packaging, and performance profiling.
- Experience with developer tooling, test infrastructure, or CI at scale.
- Fluency with JIT compilation, code generation, or GPU computing sufficient to reason about compilation caching, kernel dispatch, and startup cost.
- Ability to debug across Windows, Linux, and macOS, x86 and arm64, and CUDA, AMD, and Apple Metal.
Nice to have
- Experience with robotics simulators, PyTorch, other JIT compilers, 3D tooling, or serialization formats.
- C++, CUDA, or Metal; developer relations or community work.
Tools
Python, Quadrants, CUDA, AMD ROCm, Apple Metal, Vulkan, PyTorch, C++
AI focus
Supports physical AI and robotics by developing simulation infrastructure for robot learning and evaluation; the role focuses on the simulator rather than building AI models.
