Senior Research Scientist, Beam

What you'll do

• Prototype new features and partner with teammates to put them into production.
• Improve product quality and cost through novel approaches and new datasets.
• Analyze product performance and influence the roadmap; collaborate with internal and external teams.

What they ask for

• PhD in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in Python and deep learning frameworks.
• Experience conducting research and development, including experimental design, implementation, and analysis.
• At least one scientific publication submission to a conference, journal, or public repository.

Nice to have

• Experience developing multimodal AI models and systems, fine-tuning and post-training LLMs, or developing generative and agentic AI.
• Expertise in vision-language models and awareness of AI alignment, safety, and responsibility.
