Senior Software Engineer, Google Distributed Cloud Hosted, Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Write and test product or system development code; participate in design reviews and review peers’ code.
• Maintain documentation and triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues, including impacts on hardware, networks, and service operations.
• Contribute to a platform delivering Google Distributed Cloud solutions for customers requiring operational independence and data sovereignty.

What they ask for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture; 3 years with Operating Systems.
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in software design and architecture; experience building and maintaining Linux distributions, including package management and kernel updates and configuration management tooling.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field; 5 years of data structures and algorithms experience.
• 1 year in a technical leadership role; experience developing accessible technologies.

Pay

$174000 - $252000 (USD) base salary
