Staff Software Engineer, YouTube Ads Experiences

What you'll do

• Align teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines; influence and coach a distributed engineering team.
• Lead full-stack efforts to reduce friction between ads and their destinations, from infrastructure to UI.
• Develop and optimize ad experiences across YouTube surfaces, applying AI where it helps solve product and interaction challenges.

What they ask for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure; 5 years testing and launching software products; and 3 years in software design and architecture.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows, and applying AI to real-world technical problems.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms; technical leadership and complex, cross-functional project experience are also preferred.
