Senior Systems Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Ship performance-critical software to robots and own the end-to-end data flow from camera input to actuator feedback.
• Keep real-time control loops deterministic alongside vision inference and reduce latency and data drops.
• Build observability and debugging tools for the real-time controls and vision pipeline.

What they ask for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building production systems close to hardware, such as drivers, kernels, embedded systems, or robotics.
• Knowledge of Rust, Python, C++, operating systems, and multithreading; experience with Bazel, Nix, HIL testing, and CI/CD.
• Linux kernel and embedded systems experience, including debugging timing and concurrency issues.
• Able to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days/week, and 6 days/week if needed during crunch time.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time control systems, computer vision pipelines, tracing and profiling, or Linux I/O.
• Comfort using AI tools to multiply your own output.
