Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Enterprise

What you'll do

• Integrate the platform with customer systems, APIs, data pipelines, and runtime environments; build supporting backend services and tools.
• Own customer deployments, resolve cross-environment issues, and ensure reliability, security, observability, and maintainability.
• Translate enterprise requirements into proofs of concept, deployment plans, and production architectures while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

What they ask for

• Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade software systems; strong backend or full-stack engineering experience designing APIs, services, and integrations.
• Cloud-native and distributed-systems familiarity, including AWS, GCP, or Azure; experience with data pipelines, event-driven systems, or service-oriented architectures.
• Strong Python programming experience and at least one systems or backend-oriented language such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; experience owning outcomes in ambiguous environments and working directly with customers.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying enterprise software in customer environments or in forward-deployed engineering, technical consulting, technical pre-sales, or customer-facing engineering.
• Background in security, infrastructure, or platform engineering; familiarity with AI systems or AI security concepts.

Pay

$175,000-220,000 (base salary); $175K – $220K (unspecified compensation)

Deploys Gray Swan’s AI security platform for customers; familiarity with AI systems, ML-enabled products, and AI security concepts is a bonus, and model building is not required.
