ViiV Healthcare (GSK) Scientific Leader, Pre-clinical DMPK Drug Discovery Modeling

What you'll do

• Develop mechanistic and translational models to guide candidate selection, dose projections, and discovery decisions.
• Translate ADME, PK, PD, and translational data into insights for project teams and leadership; build scalable computational tools and workflows.
• Establish modeling standards and contribute to publications, regulatory submissions, technical documentation, and external scientific representation.

What they ask for

• Master’s degree with 7 or more years of post-graduate experience, or a PhD with 4 or more years of post-graduate experience, supporting drug discovery from lead optimization to Phase I clinical studies.
• Strong understanding of ADME and DMPK workflows, and empirical and mechanistic modeling and simulation.
• Demonstrated use of modeling and simulation to influence drug discovery decisions, including lead optimization, candidate selection, dose projection, and development strategy.
• Programming and modeling expertise (e.g., R, Python, or equivalent), experience integrating diverse datasets into predictive models, and ability to communicate results.

Nice to have

• PhD with 6 or more years of drug discovery experience in DMPK or a related discipline.
• Experience across diverse modalities and routes of administration, matrix or functional leadership, or infectious disease and/or immunology.

Pay

$141,075 to $235,125 USD (base salary)
