Senior Presales Systems Engineer - DC / MD

What you'll do

• Partner with Territory Managers to qualify and close opportunities, manage the sales pipeline, and support complex sales from discovery through deployment.
• Design networking solutions and develop architectures, proposals, and implementation recommendations; deliver presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and PoCs.
• Build customer, partner, and internal relationships; support channel partners and position HPE Networking against competitors.

What they ask for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, or pre-sales experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills; ability to translate technical requirements into business-focused solutions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, sales teams, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as HPE Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, or equivalent; experience supporting SLED customers.
• Experience mentoring junior Systems Engineers.

Pay

USD 151,500 - 355,000 (combined base and target-level sales compensation at 100% of sales plan; base and target-level sales compensation mix is 75%/25%).
