About the job

Invents, evaluates, and builds research-driven robotics systems, taking ideas from initial experiments through models, hardware, and deployable robots for everyday use.

What you'll do

  • Investigate open problems across robotics systems and turn ideas into working artifacts, including models, datasets, firmware, and robot demonstrations.
  • Design rigorous evaluations, create or curate data, and make systems fast and reliable enough for real-world use.
  • Document experiments and results for reproducibility, and use AI as a research collaborator.

What they ask for

  • Fluency in Python and comfort with C/C++, embedded systems, or electronics, or evidence of learning new technical layers as needed.
  • Experience training, evaluating, and deploying ML models, with ability to reason about latency and compute on edge devices.
  • Hands-on experience building hardware from parts, such as a robot, device, instrument, or sensor rig.
  • A degree in engineering, computer science, physics, or a related field, or equivalent proof of work.

Nice to have

  • Published research, useful open-source projects, or public technical writing.
  • A body of self-directed projects or other work demonstrating curiosity and end-to-end execution.

Tools

Python, C/C++

AI focus

Use AI as a research collaborator to map search spaces, run experiments, and pressure-test ideas.
