- Substantial hands-on robotics experience; no number of years stated.
About the job
Build and maintain testing, validation, observability, and documentation for the controls stack, while helping bring up new hardware and validate changes on real robots.
What you'll do
- Build HIL, integration, and regression testing workflows and define repeatability and accuracy metrics for control and motion changes.
- Support first-time hardware bring-up and integration, and validate hardware and software changes on real robots.
- Improve runtime observability and failure analysis, resolve cross-stack issues, and maintain engineering documentation and runbooks.
What they ask for
- Substantial hands-on robotics experience on real hardware.
- Strong control theory foundation, including joint-space control, PID and feedforward, impedance/admittance, observers, state estimation, filtering, and stability.
- Experience shipping modern C++ in a real-time control codebase and using Python for test harnesses, analysis, and tooling.
- Experience building test automation, HIL, or integration-test infrastructure for complex physical systems; strong measurement, data analysis, and cross-stack debugging skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with MuJoCo, Isaac Sim/Isaac Lab, and sim-to-real validation.
- Observability tooling, first-time hardware bring-up, engineering documentation and runbooks, or release management and quality gates for safety-relevant software.
