Senior/ Staff Software Engineer, Imaging

What you'll do

• Design and scale platform capabilities and interactive tools for ML-powered imaging screens, data exploration, quality assessment, and visualization.
• Take ML workflows from research prototypes to reliable production systems processing terabytes of data per day, with strong data integrity, lineage, reproducibility, and observability.
• Partner with scientists and microscopy teams to translate research needs into software; own end-to-end projects and mentor engineers.

What they ask for

• 6+ years of professional experience building and operating production-grade software and high-throughput data pipelines, primarily in Python.
• Hands-on experience with a Python-first ML stack (PyTorch/Lightning), distributed compute, workflow orchestration, and cloud infrastructure at multi-terabyte scale.
• Track record of owning complex systems from architecture through production operation.

Nice to have

• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scientific computing pipelines, visualizations, and QC processes for large-scale biological datasets.
