Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Optics, Chemistry, or Computer Science.

About the job

Develops defect metrology and process-integration methods for advanced silicon technologies to identify yield-limiting defects, determine root causes, and drive qualified process fixes.

What you'll do

  • Ensure metrology detects yield-limiting defects and investigate defect baseline shifts, restoring defect health to capable baselines.
  • Develop defect-reduction roadmaps, recipes, and RFCs; partner with process and integration teams to qualify fixes using MBPS.
  • Present defect summaries and collaborate with integration, yield, and failure-analysis teams to resolve defect issues.

What they ask for

  • Master's degree in a listed field: Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Optics, Chemistry, or Computer Science.
  • Hands-on experimental research experience designing and conducting experiments, operating laboratory equipment, and analyzing statistical data.

Nice to have

  • Experience with materials characterization, fabrication, synthesis, metrology, or statistical/data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Excel, JMP, or Python.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing or device physics, DOE/SPC, defect metrology, yield analysis, process integration, and root-cause methods such as MBPS or 8D.

Pay
