About the job

Defines networking, interconnect, and data-movement architecture for large-scale AI systems, translating workload bottlenecks and research into IP, platform features, and product roadmaps.

What you'll do

  • Analyze AI workloads and turn communication and memory bottlenecks into architecture requirements, new IP, and platform features.
  • Set direction for AI-scale networking and interconnect across compute, storage, IPU/DPU platforms, and NICs.
  • Shape multi-generation roadmaps and align architecture across networking, software, silicon, and performance teams.

What they ask for

  • Master's degree in a related STEM field and 5+ years of relevant experience; or PhD in a related STEM field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with modern AI training and/or inference systems, including model internals, serving runtimes, and memory and data-movement bottlenecks.
  • Hands-on experience with inference and training stacks such as vLLM or SGLang, and practical understanding of disaggregated prefill/decode, model parallelism, and tensor parallelism.
  • Experience in computer architecture and system-level design focused on networking, interconnect, or memory subsystems; proficiency in C/C++ and/or Python.

Nice to have

  • Experience with memory hierarchy and bottleneck analysis, high-performance networking such as RDMA/RoCE or InfiniBand, or IPU/DPU/SmartNIC systems.
  • Familiarity with PCIe and CXL; experience taking architecture from concept through silicon or product, or leading cross-team technical direction.

Pay

$195,200.00-275,580.00 USD (annual target compensation; base salary or total pay not specified)

Tools

vLLM, SGLang, C/C++, Python, RDMA/RoCE, InfiniBand, PCIe, CXL

AI focus

AI systems architecture for training and inference, including serving bottlenecks, memory and data movement, KV-cache transfer, disaggregated prefill/decode, model and tensor parallelism, and communication collectives.
