Cloud Software Engineer 3 - I

What you'll do

• Develops and supports cloud and distributed software, including Java applications and back-end processing, analysis, and indexing.
• Reviews and tests software against design requirements, documents results, and resolves software problem reports.
• Contributes to system and software design, including requirements analysis, technology trade-offs, and software reuse.

What they ask for

• 12 years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity; four years must involve Big-Data cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; four years of similar Big-Data cloud software engineering experience may substitute. A master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Required cloud experience includes two years in Cloud and/or Distributed Computing Information Retrieval and one year each in Cloud Big Table, Cloud Distributed File System, complex MapReduce analytics, and Cloud Distributed Coordination Frameworks.
• One year each in cloud solution architecture, debugging cloud distributed frameworks, and managing a multi-node cloud installation; experience in the other listed areas is also required.

Nice to have

• Cloudera Certified Hadoop Developer certification may substitute for one year of Cloud experience.
• Optional skills include in-depth Cloud Information Retrieval and Hadoop expertise, complex MapReduce workflows, and cloud software architecture.
