Business Tax Expert – TurboTax Store (Chicago)

What you'll do

• Prepare consumer and business tax returns, provide tax advice and planning, and support clients with tax software.
• Own client relationships and connect customers with relevant Intuit services, including bookkeeping and payroll support.
• Build local awareness and attract and retain clients through community engagement and outreach.

What they ask for

• At least 3 recent years preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 compensated clients per season using commercial tax preparation software.
• At least 3 seasons of compensated personal tax preparation experience, completing at least 30 returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting.
• General knowledge or understanding of bookkeeping.
• Must reside in the United States and be able to work onsite at a TurboTax retail or flagship location for at least 20 hours per week; must possess or be able to obtain related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.

Nice to have

• Bookkeeping experience connecting books to tax preparation, or willingness to become a QuickBooks ProAdvisor; business tax preparation and year-round guidance for small businesses are highly desired.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills; experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond filing.

Illinois $30.41 - $37.06 USD base salary; California $33.45 - $40.47 USD base salary; New York $33.45 - $40.47 USD base salary; Washington $31.93 - $38.76 USD base salary
