Tax Expert - Expert Center (Southcentral)

What you'll do

• Prepare and review personal and business tax returns, provide tax advice, and identify tax-planning opportunities.
• Develop a local customer base through outreach, referrals, community events, and long-term relationship building.
• Understand customers’ broader financial needs and connect them with services such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, and Credit Karma.

What they ask for

• Active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
• At least 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Must reside in the United States and be able to work onsite at a TurboTax office at least 20 hours per week.

Nice to have

• EA, CPA, or practicing attorney; strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws are preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills; experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
