About the job

Develop state estimation, tracking, and behavior-prediction systems for external objects and platforms observed by aerospace vehicles, integrating learned models and classical methods into simulations and flight software.

What you'll do

  • Develop algorithms to estimate and track external systems and predict their behavior, state, and intent.
  • Train, validate, and deploy neural network models; build metrics, tools, and datasets to evaluate performance.
  • Integrate estimation and prediction algorithms into 3-DOF and 6-DOF simulations and real-time flight software.

What they ask for

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with behavior or trajectory prediction in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similar multi-agent domains, including probabilistic prediction of agent intent.
  • Experience with modern deep learning frameworks and training infrastructure, estimating and tracking dynamic objects from limited or noisy sensor data, and implementing neural networks for prediction or tracking.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret/Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

  • Master's or PhD in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with real-time embedded deployment, estimation theory, multi-target tracking, trajectory optimization, flight simulation, or reentry, hypersonic, or orbital systems.
