About the job
Own electrical designs from block diagram through working hardware, bringing up and validating reliable robotic systems that connect power, sensing, actuation, and compute.
What you'll do
- Design and lay out PCBs, power architectures, sensor and motor integrations, communication interfaces, connectors, and harnesses.
- Bring up and troubleshoot boards using bench instruments and test firmware; develop validation procedures and test fixtures.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing partners, maintain design documentation, and resolve manufacturing or integration issues.
What they ask for
- Experience taking a board from schematic and layout through bring-up, with examples of diagnosed and fixed problems.
- Proficiency in a PCB design tool such as Altium or KiCad, and practical analog, digital, and power-electronics fundamentals.
- Understanding of grounding, noise, decoupling, protection, and interfaces used.
- Bench-instrument, soldering, board rework, systematic testing, and embedded programming experience sufficient to bring up peripherals and validate hardware.
Nice to have
