Senior Manager, Engineering

What you'll do

• Set technical direction, coach engineers, and deliver major platform initiatives while contributing hands-on to architecture and code.
• Build knowledge management systems, external integrations, and RAG pipelines; evolve the context layer to improve from usage, feedback, and new data.
• Partner across engineering and product teams to align platform strategy with business impact and support agent workflows at scale.

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with demonstrated people leadership and technical architecture ownership.
• Strong systems design and architecture skills, with experience building production platforms or infrastructure at scale.
• Working understanding of core AI concepts applied to building and leading an AI platform engineering team.
• Proven ability to develop engineers, connect technical work to business outcomes, and work through ambiguity in a startup environment.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and applied LLM systems; RAG expertise, including retrieval pipelines, embedding strategies, and evaluation.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain.

$214,200 - $259,000 USD base salary
