Provides intraoperative support to the surgical team, maintaining the sterile field and assisting with safe, coordinated surgical patient care.
What you'll do
- Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, supplies, and sterile field; maintain sterility throughout procedures.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, including counting instruments, sharps, and sponges with the circulating nurse.
- Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization, maintain supplies, and precept other surgical team members as needed.
