About the job
Provide overnight cross-coverage and consultative inpatient care for neurosurgical patients as a clinical faculty member on an academic hospitalist team.
What you'll do
- Manage 15–30 cross-coverage patients nightly and approximately 4–6 new admissions or consults per shift.
- Lead code blue and rapid response events and collaborate with neurosurgery, neurology, APCs, residents, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Work 182 night shifts annually, typically on a rotating 7-on/7-off schedule; occasional NG tube placement is required.
