Administers respiratory therapy, assesses and monitors patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders, and coordinates care with physicians and other health care team members.
What you'll do
- Administers prescribed respiratory treatments and performs respiratory evaluations and diagnostic testing.
- Monitors patients receiving mechanical ventilation, including assessment, troubleshooting, weaning, and airway care.
- Analyzes specimens, communicates results and treatment suggestions, and documents care in accordance with quality standards.
What they ask for
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care.
- Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support/BLS.
- Associate's/2-year degree; NBRC registration required, or must be obtained within 2 years of hire if not already registered.
Nice to have
- ACLS and/or NALS.
- Prior experience.
